First, the performance characteristics of the proximity switch:
Among all kinds of switches, there is a component that has the ability to “sense” the object close to it – the displacement sensor. Using the sensitive characteristics of the displacement sensor to the approaching object to control the switch on or off, this is the proximity switch.
When an object moves toward the proximity switch and is close to a certain distance, the displacement sensor has “perception” and the switch will act. This distance is usually called the “detection distance”. Different proximity switches have different detection distances. Sometimes the detected objects move toward the approach switch one by one and leave one by one at a certain time interval, so that they are repeated constantly. Different proximity switches have different response ability to detected objects. This response characteristic is called the “response frequency”
1、 close to the switch operating distance
1) The operating distance of the approach switch is related to the material of the detected body. In the case of the same thickness and sensing area, the relationship between the operating distance is S iron > Stainless steel > S brass aluminium S Copper
2) The operating distance of the approach switch is related to the thickness and area of the detected body (while the material of the detected body is the same).
2、 Install the close switch
1) When installing the proximity switch on the metal, a certain space should be reserved to avoid the switch from being interfered with by other metals other than the detected object and resulting in misoperation. The metal parallel to the sensing surface shall be three times the detection distance from the sensing surface and the metal surrounding the direction of the approach switch axis shall be outside a cylinder centered on the approach switch axis and three times the diameter of the approach switch.
2) When installing two or more proximity switches at the same time, in order to prevent mutual interference between any two, the switch should be placed so that the distance between the two sensing surfaces in the axis direction is greater than five times the detection distance, and the distance between the outer cylinder surface should be greater than three times the length of the proximity switch diameter, if the switch diameter is different, it should be calculated according to the diameter of the larger proximity switch.
3、 Precautions should be taken during use
1) The detected body should not contact the proximity switch, so as not to damage the proximity switch due to friction and collision
2) Pulling the access switch lead wire by hand will damage the access switch, and it is best to use a wire card to fix the lead wire at 10 cm from the switch when installing it
3) Foot access switch should not be used, and it is best to set the protective cover shell when installing
4) The use distance of the switch should be set within 2/3 of the rated distance, so as not to be affected by temperature and voltage, and the level of temperature and voltage will affect the sensitivity of the proximity switch.
4、Problems that should be paid attention to when wiring and wiring
1) The power line and power line should be as far away from the switch lead as possible, and the electric metal tube should be covered externally and grounded when it cannot be avoided to prevent the switch from being damaged or misoperated
2) Power connection is strictly prohibited and should be connected according to the schematic diagram of the output circuit
3) It is best not to use two output lines close to the switch to control the same coil of the same relay, otherwise it will not be able to identify the source of the action, and sometimes even produce misaction.
