The touchpoint is untouched, and depending on the relay type, the normally open touchpoint (C) is open and the normally closed touchpoint (A) is closed.

- Power-on status:
When the control circuit applies voltage to the relay coil, a current is generated in the coil and the electromagnet generates a magnetic field.
The magnetic field attracts the armature so that it overcomes the force of the bullet or the like and moves towards the normally open touchpoint (C) towards the electromagnet. - Restore state:
When the control circuit disconnects the voltage, the coil loses current, the electromagnet loses its magnetic field, the armature restores its initial position under the action of the spring, and the touchpoint state is restored:
Open touchpoint (C): Disconnect.
Normally closed touchpoint (A): closed.
