Structural composition
Small intermediate relays are usually composed of fixed iron core, armature, reset spring, moving contact, static contact, coil, wiring pin and housing.
Working principle
When the rated voltage is applied to the coil of the relay, the electromagnetic force will be generated in the coil to attract the armature action, so as to drive the moving contact and the static contact contact or separation, to achieve the circuit on, off or signal conversion. When the coil is powered off, the armature returns to the initial position under the action of the reset spring, and the contact also returns to the initial state.
peculiarity
Small size: less space, easy to install in a compact electrical control cabinet or equipment, can effectively save installation space.
Contact capacity moderate: although not as large as the contact capacity of the contactor, but for the control of some small power load or as a signal transfer control is sufficient, usually the contact rated current in a few amps to more than ten amps, such as the common 3A, 5A, 8A, 10A and other specifications.
Multi-contact form: with multiple groups of normally open and normally closed contacts, such as the commonly used 8-pin, 14-pin intermediate relays, respectively, there are 2 pairs of normally open and normally closed contacts, 4 pairs of normally open and normally closed contacts, can meet the needs of different control circuits, to achieve complex logic control functions.
Low power consumption: The coil power consumption is relatively small, and will not cause excessive burden on the power supply of the control circuit.
